Copy properties options greyed out

I have an mxd I call a template because I save it under a new name each time I am creating a new document. I save a copy of it and add the new shapefile for the document to it. I then copy the properties from another shapefile I already have in the document and paste them to the new shapefile. It stopped working today.

A potential cause could be that I access ArcMap using a Citrix server and recently they re-set my Citrix profile because I was unable to search in ArcMap. Now I can no longer copy properties from any shapefiles in my mxd. All the options are greyed out. 

Any idea of what may be causing it?

Hi! It looks like this functionality does not come out of the box with ArcMap but is from the XToolsPro add-in: Copy Layer Properties. Double check that the add-in is installed correctly and is enabled
