Hi,

I am having trouble with my new Workforce Project. It seems the field guys can't see anything beyond the assignments layer and thier worker layer in the field map. No basemap and no asset layers that I published that are both in the Worker Map. All the layers are shared the same way, I have not moved any layers in agol out of the folder and I did not this problem before in Workforce Classic. This is a brand new project and I haven't made an edits.

I can get our asset layer and the basemap to show up if I create an offline area.

Finally, if I do not create an offline area the project will not download to a mobile device.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Daniel, a couple questions,

What type of layer is this and how many features are in it?

Are you able to take that same layer offline in a map using the new Collector?

If you create a Map Area in Workforce; does this layer appear?

This is a hosted feature service with 8 layers (points, and lines).  Total features - 2,246,164

It does work in Collector for this same project.

It's not allowing me to create a Map Area.  I keep getting this error.  But I can't identify what's not being shared properly.

Daniel,

I'm guessing that is the Workforce worker web map and the Workforce feature service.  Can you confirm they are shared the same way?

The Workforce worker web map and the Workforce feature service are shared the same way.  I'm borrowing the Facilities layer though that's blocking the download..

Hi Daniel,

It sounds like this is going to be a bug somewhere that we should look at.

Can you expand a bit on what you mean by "borrowing"?  Copy/paste of the sharing info might help too.

I'm not the Owner of the layers causing the problem.  They were shared with me from another publisher in my organization.

Do you mean copy/paste the icons in the Content folder showing which groups the layers are shared with?

Hi Daniel,

Your description helps, we'll try and repro it here.

I was able to enlist our support specialist here and she found that it's the grouped layers that's causing the problem.  The sharing works fine as long as you add individual layers.

Hi Daniel, unfortunately, Group layers are not yet supported by Workforce.

Hi Craig,

If you want more test cases, I'm also experience this issue. Mine has a slightly different scenario. I have changed the base map to the ESRI hybrid imagery layer, with no custom layers. The dispatcher map can see the this Hybrid layer, however the mobile devices only displays the default Topo layer. It would be nice for the fieldworkers to see the same layer as the dispatcher. I have approximately 630 assignments and this fix would help the inspectors immensely!

Thanks,

Paul
