Are there any known issues with running workforce on some Andrioid devices? On my Pixel 4 it says asks for secure credentials and then unable to download (workers layer may have been removed). I log in on an iphone and everything is fine.
Hi Dave, this is an error we saw during development of Workforce on Android but have not seen in the 20.1.0 or 20.1.2 release. What release are you using and what version of Android?
Craig wanted to follow up. We get this same error on Galaxy S8 andrioid v.9 and on a Pixel 2 android v.11. I have no secure layers in the project or map and works fine on Apple.
If I change the settings on the hosted workforce feature service to allow for Public Data Collection and then share everything publicly then it works. Does not seem so secure but the android users are in. The set up before was just shared with the organization and the feature service did not allow Public Data Collection. Not sure why access was different across different mobile OS.
Workforce only requires sharing to the Workforce group, not the Organization or Public. Sharing with public would by-pass certain checks so I can see why it works but it should not be required.
Without further trouble shooting on a call and screen sharing it's going to be difficult to sort this out. We could look at setting something up next week.
Craig
