ArcGIS Workflow Manager for Enterprise does not complete a GP Service tool; Stalls flow.

We’re working with ArcGIS Workflow Manager for Enterprise. While trying to run a custom geoprocessing Script using a GP Service Tool we are facing issues.
The GP Service step once started keeps running without producing any output neither gets terminated.
The below given errors are appear in the Server log when the GP service step is run.
The configuration for the step can be referred from the below screenshots. We have configured the output to point towards the success of the execution however it seems to run continuously. As shown in the screenshot, the Server Log Errors show that an unexpected error message was received.
How can this issue be resolved?
