trouble getting the attribute table widget to work

All,

I am having trouble getting the attribute table widget to work. I am configuring the widget on a web app. When I click the edit button, it never loads a list of any of the features in the web map powering the app. So far, I have not found much on the subject. Can anyone give me pointers on what to check or do for the problem? Getting the attribute table up and running would be a great addition to the app.  

Also is there a way to get the widget button on the widget bar instead of the corner?

Do you have query enabled?

 If you added the layer after configured Attribute Table, the layer will not be display in Setting page. Because Attribute Table will get layers from config.json.

This behavior was addressed but your version may be too old to have gotten that enhancement.
