Swipe tool - swipe multiple layers display error

Anyone ever come across using the default  Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS and using the swipe mode of multiple layers and getting an odd swipe layer interface?  As you can see below, the options view looks like a cropped image of a few icons.  This doesn't look normal to me.

If I select the drop down list, I do get the full listing of layers that I have predefined as swipeable layers show up.  In other words, the widget functions as I would expect for the selected layers.

I would have expected the default swipe layer from the first figure to look more like option of the swipe mode of a single layer.
