I would like to have the Select widget records automatically shown in the attribute table. I have the same thing with my query results but the structure of Select widget is very different from Query widget. I couldn't figure it out.
You are right there is a big difference between the two widgets as the Query widget produces a new layer of the selected feature from the query and the select widget only selects/highlights features in an existing map layer. Showing the attribute table will show all the records for the layer and just have the selected feature highlighted. The select widget also allows you to select features on/in multiple layers. That adds a whole other level of complexity.
