I am using Web AppBuilder 2.0.

I am able to Hyperlink to images and documents no problem using the LocalLayer Custom Widget for the files on my local server machine.

But, when I hyperlink to .mp4 files (video) on my local server (stored in the same folder as my images) I get a 404 error. There are two mp4 files each around 120mb in size (not sure if size matters since I am able to link to 150mb pdf files).

Any suggestions as to the best way to link mp4 files in a Web AppBuilder App? (seems like it could be different than linking images and documents?

Should I not be using mp4 video format and try wmv?

Tim,

Do you have your web server configured to support the mp4 mime type?

can the mp4 files be played outside of your app? I only ask since hyperlinks to files of a particular format require a default reader/viewer associated with the file extension
