definition query like filter

Is there a sample bit of code that I could use to filter point features similar to what the 'definition query' does in arcmap?

I think this would be a great enhancement as my users sometimes only want to see specific location without the clutter of the others.

any help appreciated.

I get it and I like the WAB.

any thoughts on how to get esri to add the filter tool to it.

There is the Geocoder, the Query widget, and soon my eSearch. Short of those then you need to submit an enhancement request (if you are a Beta participant) else you need to wait for the official release then contact tech support with an enhancement request.
