We have our on internal portal beta 10.3

In that case you add the rest endpoints into your web map then create your web application using that web map id.

Within AppBuilder, to access map services & image services from our ArcGIS servers, it looks that we should go through the widget (like basemap gallery widget), because all applications created by Web AppBuilder must be based on a web map from a portal, such as ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS.

As we known, Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online can directly consume those services from organization ArcGIS Servers...

Team, is it correct?
