It would be great if you could export and import drawings using the draw widget.
Workflow would be:
- User draws on the map
- User exports the drawing to a json file and closes Web AppBuilder
- User then returns to Web AppBuilder, opens the draw widget and imports the json file
- Previous drawings then appear on the map for the user to continue working on.
This would be great. Check out the eDraw custom widget if you haven't already.
Something like this already exists in the "Situation Awareness" widget, and I also think it would be very helpful in the Draw Widget.
In the SA widget, you can "Save" your buffer to a hosted feature service:
When you hit save, the buffer is stored in a polygon feature service that is hosted in our AGOL account.
For this to work in the Draw widget, I would suspect you would need one of each type of feature service (point, line, poly, anno).
Jeremie'seDraw widget as Gordan noted does this perfectly. I use it in all my apps.
