All,

Here is the next in my line of widgets for the FlexViewer 2.x.

The legend portion of this widget is the same code as my dynamic legend widget so,

IT IS FOR ARCGIS SERVER 10 OR GREATER ONLY

This is just a simple TOC Widget that includes my dynamic legend component.
This widget also includes my enhancement for map service transparency,
right click context menu for zoom to make layer visible, and my scale
dependent renderer for the TOC checkboxes.

Eric,

Thanks for the helpful info. I now have the issue resolved in version 2.3.8.3.
Also in your case you can optimize the xml by limiting to one line:

<excludelayer mapservice="Basemap">0,6,7,8,9,10,11,12</excludelayer>

Thanks for the quick turnaround on that Robert....works great.  Curious - this latest version has a quicker scroll "response" when using the wheel on the mouse than the previous version.  Is it possible to slow this down?  I thought I remember a post with a reference to this?

Thanks again.
Eric

All,

A new version is out again (I am having fun with this one).

Version 2.3.8.4 - 23 June, 2011
* Slowed down mouse wheel scroll speed
* Added generic legend support for Dimension, Annotation, Raster Catalog, and Tiled Raster Basemaps
* I am not real happy with the Tiled Raster Basemaps but the way esri currently returns legend info
is not real conducive to legend generation. Maybe 10.1 of server will fix this.

Is it possible to have the TOC open into a separate HTML frame? I know that the trend has been to have widgets that open up over the top of the map window, but I'm more a fan of an arcmap style TOC that is separate and does not require me to close it or move the map in order to see the entire map. Extra mouse clicks and map refreshes reduce the quality of the user experience. At least that's my take on it.

Hi Robert,  I have the TOC operating, but the symbology does not appear in the TOC next to the attributes.  Is there something I need to do or a specific way the features need to be stored to have them appear?  I am using the Complied version.

Yes that is displayed and the associated numbers are next to each of the legend items.  Do the associated legend items go in the "showdescritptionbutton" area.?
