Secured services and referencing the proxy.ashx page?

I have some secured ArcGIS services that require a validation token in order to be viewed. I've edited the proxy.ashx page to pass along the needed credentials.

I'm trying to follow the directions at: http://resources.esri.com/help/9.3/arcgisserver/apis/javascript/arcgis/help/jshelp_start.htm#jshelp/... but I can't figure out how these instructions could be applied to a Flex map.

Could someone please tell me how to reference the proxy.ashx page from my Flex pages?
