When I first open my Flexviewer, I always have to restore and then maximize my screen in order for my widgets and layers to appear.  Any suggestions?  I can also click the overview map at the bottom of the screen and that seems to refresh the map as well.

Not sure why that would happen... Does the same thing happen in multiple browsers?  On multiple computers?  Are you using the latest (currently 2.4) version of the viewer?  Do you have any custom widgets? Could you share the URL?

It is an internal url only.  It happens on all computers in the building.  I am running 2.4 with a few custom widgets from the gallery, none I have written myself.  It does the same with firefox or IE.

Does the same thing happen with http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapps/flexviewer/live/index.html for you?

Does the same thing happen when you use the default config.xml on your web server?  If not, you might want to try simplify your application, for example removing widgets to see if any specific widget is causing the problem.

This issue is still happening if anyone could shed some light.  It will stay like this until you maximize your screen or do something to refresh the view.

Hi Andy, I don't know why that would happen but did you have a chance to try my earlier suggestions?

Andy,

You might also want to confirm for us that this is a Vanilla Flex Viewer project, (i.e. no customizations, besides XML changes).

Bjorn,

Sorry about that, yes the link you sent a while back does open fine.  This happens on all computers on our internal network.  It is internal only.  I can even click the small map overview button when first opening the viewer and it will refresh the view and all icons and widget symbols appear.

Robert,

You are correct, this is a basic flex application and only XML changes have been made.
