I'm trying to figure out a few things without immediately making assumptions. I have a flexviewer app using ESRI basemaps and orthoimagery cached at the same LODs as the basemaps. Can I assume that when I code an initial extent ( the State of New York) that it loads at the closest cache level to that extent? Would this also be true for a hard coded bookmark? Can I also assume that the Zoom slider tick marks are set according to the cache levels of the basemap it first encounters much like the projection?
Any assistance including direction to pertinent literature would be greatly appreciated.
