Excludeing Sublayers

Is it possible to exclude sublayers? Using the excludelayer tag in the Mapswitcher widget I can only exlcude the whole operational layer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can set the visibility of sublayers using the layer tag's visiblelayers attribute:

You can exclude sublayers from the table of contents using Robert Scheitlin's TOC widget:

I tried the visbile layers and it just checked or unchecked the data, so I will try that widget.
