I received a note that Velocity is down for upgrades later this week.
It would be nice to know in advance what's changing so we know what to check on after the update!
As part of our upcoming release, your ArcGIS Velocity subscription will undergo a two-phase upgrade that will require scheduled downtime. The first phase will be updating the Velocity application to the latest release 2025.R2, and the second phase will be updating the data storage system:
- Phase 1 will begin on 06/26/2025 - 6 PM PST and is expected to last approximately 1 – 2 hours.
- Phase 2 will begin on 06/26/2025 - 6 PM PST and is expected to last approximately 1 - 3 hours (*).
* Some organizations with large volumes of data storage will require additional downtime during phase 2 and will be notified with further information.
Customer applications and workloads will be affected during both phases. You will receive a follow-up message once the upgrade is complete.
Will this update still happen this evening, with the ArcGIS Online outage/issue currently? @JeffSilberberg
Not sure what they are doing --- Last evening I got three emails from them,
1st at 5:39PM EDT
ArcGIS Velocity upgrade is completed. If you have any questions, please contact Esri Support at support@esri.com. If notifications are received related to authentication issues, please follow the below steps to reset the refresh token for any affected accounts: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/iot/reference/troubleshoot.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_EE739DA5B3EE435A845AA80BD51A2...

Please see the important notification below regarding your ArcGIS Velocity subscription: Winter Park Resort. The upgrade of your ArcGIS Velocity subscription is now complete. All services should be operating normally. To learn more about what’s included in this release, visit: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/iot/reference/whats-new.htm If you experience any issues or have questions, please contact Esri Support at support@esri.com.

Please disregard previous message about upgrade completion. You were mistakenly sent a premature completion notice. You will receive another notification once the completion is finalized.
--------------------------------------
Note the original notice indicated the updates would be on the 26th at 6pm PT not the 25th at 6pm ET. The support@esri.com has been retired and is not a valid contact point, and the URL for What's new shows the February Update Page --
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Just a quick check in. Again this evening, I have multiple emails that the Velocity upgrade has been completed, but when I log in to see why the Feed is not ingesting traffic from our sources. The portal shows there are NO FEEDS, NO REAL TIME ANALYTICS, and NO BIG DATA ANALYTICS. On two separate customer Velocity accounts.
Anyone else seeing the same thing?
I've been having major problems since yesterday as well. Sometimes the web page won't display any of my feeds or analytics. Sometimes it will show feeds and analytics but with the wrong status. I can't stop and restart analytics and sometimes they do start or stop but the system incorrectly states that they didn't.
@DrewDowling Let me know if you are still experiencing this issue, or message me directly your support case number so I can take a look. Thanks
@JeffEismanGIS Thanks for reaching out. I tried to direct message you but I got error messages saying the message could not be sent. Case number:
Esri Case #03941488
Thanks looking into it now
Same issues here. It's also interesting that one of my customers' 6.02 main pages is different from another's main page—there are additional Options in the left-side menu.
Opened a Case with Support this morning, it's working better this evening. But it's not right.
@JeffSilberberg We stagger the update of our velocity clusters so not all are updating at the same time so that is why you may see some differences between customers until all updates are completed.
Can you please message me directly the support case number so I can take a look and make sure things are working for you.
Thanks
