Using UN subnetwork functionality to create electric circuits

I want to define individual circuits in a meshed electric transmission network. Each circuit is formed by a series of connected cables that start at one substation and end at another substation. If two cables run (side by side) between these two substations, then they are two circuits. The station interior is not to be considered in the circuit creation, all circuits start and terminate outside stations.

My idea is to form the circuits using the subnetwork functionality of the Utility Network. However, I am not able to make the circuits end at the relevant points unless I interrupt the electric flow by an open switch. In reality, however, the switches are not open, which means that the circuits are more of a theoretical definition.

How do I have to configure my utility network resp. which object can I use to let a subnetwork deliberately end at a certain point in the network, independent of the switching state of the objects? Is this possible at all?

Looking at Esri’s Electric Utility Network Foundation data, it seems to be possible, but I haven't figured out how yet. Unfortunately, I am not an electrical specialist but try to translate given data into Utility Network.

Has anybody an idea if my approach is feasible and if yes, how?

You can create a new subnetwork at the lower station, but that will require those breakers to be directional in a partitioned network.

This is a highly simplified sketch. As already mentioned, this is a meshed electric transmission tier situation.
I want to use the subnetwork functionality to form the two circuits "Circuit 1" and "Circuit 2" (red, solid lines). These both extend outside of and between the two substations.
The cables of the two circuits are conductively connected to each other via the interior of the two substations.
How do I have to configure my utility network or which object do I have to insert downstream into the two circuits so that the downstream trace for creating subnetworks stops at the positions marked with the question marks and thus defines the two circuits (each at a time)?
