We leverage Pro Feature Editing Templates quite heavily, extending the templates available in the Water Distribution Editor Pro Package.  We are having problems sharing these templates between users in the organization. So far we have published the template to Pro with the updated templates.  End users can download the Package and leverage the templates.  If a new template is needed, we have to remove existing Package and republish.

TLDR:

Is there a way to easily export feature editing templates and move between Projects--a export/import option much like styles?

Instead of a template, have you explored sharing the pro project through the portal?  Users will open that project and if a new version is uploaded, with new templates, they will get a notification that a new pro project is available.

The "Update a project opened from the active portal" section discusses it some:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/projects/open-a-project.htm

The project update will be displayed as a notification:

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/projects/arcgis-pro-notifications.htm

Thanks Mike!  I have not explored that route, but will definitely try it out later today!  I will let you know how it works.

Definitely the way to go! We likewise use editing templates a lot, and across over a dozen layers, so being able to push a new package to the Portal and end users getting notified of the update is a major advantage.

So when you update a map package in Portal do you update the item directly in Portal?  I ask as that seems like the most logical way to do it, but for some reason Portal has been uploading now for over 20 minutes...

Hey Josh,  Was just a fluke I guess.  It has been uploading very fast each subsequent time.  We now have a workflow to share our feature editing templates out via Pro Project Packages via portal.  Thanks!
