Hello,

have anyone  tried  isolation trace in Esri sewer utility network sample geodatabase(available at ArcGIS solutions)? Our customer has problem to select isolating features in their hierarchical sink based utility network.

We tested isolation trace here (with ArcGIS Pro 3.4) with similar Esri sample data (sewer) and we are also unable to get any isolating features . We get always warning 002535 "No isolating feature was discovered".

Although this sewer utility network sample has no isolating category, we tried to define filter bariers via appropriate asset group, but without success. On the other hand upstream trace works fine in this utility network sample and with same filter bariers  and starting point it stops at right place.

Thanks

What is the desired output that you are trying to achieve with an isolation trace on the sewer network?  I recall encountering an issue a while back that isolation did not work on sink networks.

I must admit that sewer is not right example for real world isolation trace (like gas, electricity or water networks) , and I do not know how their devices that are in isolation category looks like,  but I think it still should work.  In water, stormwater esri samples it works ok, only in sewer network I am unable to get isolating features. Maybe what makes sewer network litle bit special is, that it is hierarchical - sink based? Stormwater is partitioned-sink based  and water is hierarchical-source based.
