Hi everyone,

Our municipality is currently in the pilot phase of implementing ArcGIS Urban.

The issue is that we do not have an Excel spreadsheet that stores our zoning type parameters. All parameters are still contained in the zoning by-law PDF, and we have at least 500 different zoning types.

Has anyone encountered similar issues when implementing ArcGIS Urban? Do we need to manually enter these parameters into a spreadsheet, or are there any tools that might help address this issue in a quick and accurate way?

Thanks for any helps!

Hello,

We have had customers with a similar situation, and we had to manually compile the Zoning Type spreadsheet from the zoning rules PDFs. However, in all cases when we start looking into the zoning types we realize that most of them are variations of the same thing. You usually will have a main zoning type with many variations. when you identify the main zoning types it becomes easier to generate the zoning types  spreadsheet with all the rest of the variations.

Let me know if you have further questions,

Thanks,

Aziz
