Why won't my Survey123 close when I set it to Closed and save at survey.arcgis.com?

I'm trying to set the Survey status to "Closed: not accepting responses" so the message in the box shows up when people try and access the survey. I hit save and it says it saves successfully, but when I go to view the survey via it's link, I can still view it and submit a response, even when signed out of ArcGIS Online. Why won't my survey close?
