Hi Team,
I have put together a survey which uses a select multiple question. This survey is for use within the browser, rather than the mobile application. I have a select multiple with an 'other' option, using the manual option to collect other responses.
When I open the survey in a browser on my mobile, it shows the name of the selected choices under the question. This is not optimal because the name does not match the label. When I switch over to desktop view in my browser the question displays as expected without the choice names visible.
Is there anything that I can do to remove the visibility of the choice names?
Thanks, Emily
I've given this a quick test and everything looks like it worked as expected, but I might have followed a slightly different workflow. Would you be able to send through a screenshot showing the issue on the mobile compared to the desktop?
Could you also please confirm if you created this survey in Survey123 Connect or the web designer?
Thanks!
Issy
Hi @IssyAmis,
Thanks for the help!
I created the survey in Survey123 Connect. Screenshots are attached - apologies I am not able to show much of the form. But you can see the list of names in the Mobile view one.
Thanks! Emily
Thank you for sending that info over! I've given this a test and I do get the same experience as you - that doesn't seem ideal that those names are exposed!
Interestingly, we do have a bug raised for this already but from the bug report I'm not 100% sure on how that's being handled so I'll follow that up and see if I can pass on any info back to you.
In the meantime, I'd recommend either having the same names for both the "name" and the "label", or use a different appearance for your survey rather than "minimal".
Let me know if you have any questions about this,
Thanks!
Issy
Hi @IssyAmis,
Thanks so much for the response. I'd really appreciate the follow up if you're able to find any more info on this! In the meantime, would you be able to provide the BUG number so that I can associate it with my organisation in My Esri?
Thanks! Emily
