Hi everyone, I was able to view my survey on the web perfectly fine before the recent update. After the update to Survey123 Connect (I am now using version 3.25.27), I receive an error message saying  "This survey cannot be opened in the web app. Please contact the survey owner to republish the survey with 'Create web form' enabled. Error: Missing .webform file." I can see in the survey files that a webform has definitely been created. I have tried republishing my survey and completely deleting it and publishing it as a new survey, and neither have fixed the problem.

I have experimented by removing certain parts of my XLSFormat table  to see if this fixes things. Removing certain questions and sections does fix the problem and allows for my survey to be viewed on the web, however this is not ideal because I need all sections and questions to be included. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this and any possible workarounds.

EDIT: I previously thought this was an issue having to do with the update, though I was able to access an older version of Survey123 Connect and still experienced the same issues..

This happened to me on Friday as well. How do you go back to the old version? I just rolled out a permitting system and now it is already down and all my peers are snickering. ESRI if you're listening, this needs to be addressed very quickly.

TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'parentElement')

y vuelvo y publico con la versión 3.24 y el error me deja de salir y ya puedo trabajar sin problema.

Hi @SIGISCIAMSA , we deployed a hotfix tonight that may address this. It is difficult to confirm from the screenshot if your specific case matches the fix, so could you please try again to see if the issue is resolved?

I love ESRI, I've worked with their applications for over 10 years. But sometimes it seems like they hate their users. An update that was supposed to fix bugs creates other bugs as simple as problems with CSV and pulldata + the fact that the Microsoft Store's automatic update (recommended by ESRI itself) updates to a problematic version + not having a repository for older versions = hundreds of forms with problems and a lot of workarounds being done to try to minimize the problems. It's hard to understand something like that.

I have tried several older versions in Survey123 Connect,  3.24.31 and a beta 3.23.28 with the same result. I went back to 3.19.116, which is just what I had on this computer and my application opens back up on the browser but I cannot add any fields to the survey. When I attempt to add any new fields Survey123 Connect states they can be published but just spins for eternity and will not actually publish. Forgot to mention in the 3.19.116 version I have lost all have my dynamic form formatting and back to a single line survey.

We are experiencing the same issue at our org with various errors coming up since the 3.25 update. Some of the surveys are more complex and we have been able to temporarily fix those using external choice lists and reducing the number of pulldata() calculations. We had the same error for a simpler survey with a lot of language translations (going to reduce the number of languages to see if this resolves the issue). We are running into another error, where the pulldata() function in a survey is no longer working in edit mode, embedded in an experience builder app. This was functioning previously.

Error 1: This survey cannot be opened in the web app. Please contact the survey owner to republish the survey with 'Create web form' enabled. Error: Missing .webform file.

Error 2: The webform needs to be upgraded, but an error occurred while upgrading. -1: Error: Entity expansion limit exceeded: 1004 > 1000

Hi @JodyZhengLiu, the hotfix resolved the .webform errors for the complex surveys and multiple language translation surveys. Thank you!

We are still running into issues with the pulldata() not working as an embedded survey in experience builder and hidden fields with inputMask causing submission errors. I had created a separate post for the inputMask issue yesterday.

Appreciate your help and quick response!
