Hi, I have a survey which I've been able to successfully publish and use in testing in the past. However I've now tried to edit it and I get this error when I try to publish

  • -1: missing itemId / folderId / params args

Any ideas about what's happening and how I can fix it?

Thanks

Andrew

Hi,

It sounds like you may have moved some items outside of the survey folder that is generated in your ArcGIS Online Content during creation of the survey.

Can you go into the survey folder in My Content and ensure that there is a hosted feature service, form item, fieldworker view, and stakeholder view inside of the folder?

ArcGIS Survey123 expects the content to be in this folder named 'Survey-SurveyName'. If you change ownership, you need to create a folder of the same name.

Cheers

Actually it is tied to the folder id so the same name will not help you.  At least it is that way in Connect.  It does sound like it was moved to a new folder to me as well or maybe a new owner.

My understanding is the folderid is only applicable for Survey123 Connect .iteminfo file when you have changed the folder location after publish; it creates a disconnect between the locally stored file and the live location of the content in ArcGIS Online. I don't believe this occurs if you were downloading the Survey into connect, which would 'refresh' the .iteminfo file.

The user appears to be in the Survey123 web designer and this has been posted before, resolution to check the folder.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't think I've shifted moved anything, or changed ownership, but I may have edited or be trying to edit it under different logins (my own and an admin). I'll have a look at that, and if it doesn't work I'll recreate it. It's not a big form.

Cheers
