Anyone else encountering issues with the sharing URL for opening the survey in the Survey123 field app directly?
The generated URL is, e.g.:
https://survey123.arcgis.app?itemID=59395914d2634916878bdb7430b01536
or
https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/59395914d2634916878bdb7430b01536?open=native
both of which get redirected to (note slash added, but otherwise same as first link):
https://survey123.arcgis.app/?itemID=59395914d2634916878bdb7430b01536
and that asks the user to download the app even if it's already downloaded, with no option to bypass.
I'm getting this for multiple public survey forms on multiple devices. iOS seems immune, but Android and Windows are not.
Thanks.

This is a "bug".
I have a thread on this here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-questions/bug-cannot-open-surveys-in-field-app-on-pc/...
If you want to launch the native app you should use
arcgis-survey123://?itemID=739289893
This is the workaround. Thanks!
Yes, this does still work if you create it manually. The issue is how you are delivering links to users. I have links stored in SharePoint and in custom QR codes. In both cases, Esri's custom URI (arcgis-surveys123) is not recognized by the applications. If it doesn't start with HTTP/HTTPS, then it isn't considered a link and thus won't work:
Because this is an important point, I will drop this in the other thread as well.
I'm a big fan of the shortURLs for sharing Survey123 forms (e.g. https://arcg.is/w1er89). I wish they'd bring those back for the 'open directly' link type.
From my experience, it's also more likely to be flagged and removal from email disseminations due to security risk.

That's it, glad it was noticed by others. Thanks for your documentation.
I have seen this for windows and have never got it to work. But for Android I use arcgis-survey123://?itemID=739289893 all the time and it works great.
To wrap this up, the links to share a survey, as derived from the Survey123 website, may not work; e.g.
Additionally, the link from "Ask the user how..." will not work if the user selects "Open in the Field App." This is a serious bug, slated for enhancement from the Survey123 side of things, reportedly ENH-000151516.
