Today I started getting the "Error converting XLSForm" message any time I made a change, even valid changes to my Survey123 Connect form designs in Excel.
I tested several forms and even created a new 3 question form, with the same results. I am using Connect version 3.22.49. There have been some changes to our organization, so that may be behind this. I just want to see if this is wide spread, or just me. Let me know if you are seeing the same message with no hint.
I uninstalled and re-installed and still get the same results. My co-workers are not seeing the same issue.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. It looks like ALL new surveys I create have the same problem. I think this might be a problem with the connection to Microsoft Excel, so I will try re-installing my microsoft suite next.
UPDATE April 17,2025: Re-installing Office 365 was not the solution.
I fixed the problem with this article: Creating a new survey causes ArcGIS Survey123 Connect to stop responding I needed to fix both the Portal (Connection) and the Service. I had previously changed the Connection trying to fix something else, so operator error there.
Not on my end.
I haven't experienced any issue. Have you tried running the Update XLSForm template tool on each survey in Connect?
You might also try creating a new survey, copying/pasting values only from one of your problem surveys to the new one. Just make sure the values go to the right columns, sometimes Esri moves column names around with Survey123 updates. Rename the problem xlsx something else (e.g. Form1_original) and copy the new xlsx sheet to the folder of the problem survey. Rename the new one to match the name of the original (e.g. Form1). Reload the survey and see what happens. This is my usual best fix for anytime Survey123 Connect is giving me grief for strange reasons.
