We have ArcGIS Online for our organization and we have a standalone ArcGIS Server, but we do not have Portal. Is it possible to use the Survey123 Connect desktop app with this configuration? We have used Survey123 in AGOL, but for a new project we want to be able to use XLSForm authoring. I tried searching for this topic, but could not find a direct answer.
We've used Survey123 Connect with both hosted feature layers and published editable services from ArcServer. Using the published editable service takes a few extra steps.
Maybe this article helps: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/get-started/survey123withexistingfeatureservices.htm
or this one: https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-create-survey123-for-arcgis-surveys-that-connec...
Thanks for your responses! So it sounds like I will be able to use the desktop Connect app? So far I have only used Survey123 in the browser, and a different post made me think I might need Portal.
One caveat is that even though you're designing in Connect, and seeing it's visual layout, it will convert those to the web designer layout in any app except for the S123 desktop and field apps. Ex., a dropdown in Connect displays as multiple check boxes when viewed in Hub, Experience Builder, and so on.
Thanks for this info!
