Can't edit repeat (using inbox -> edit)

Unable to edit anything in my repeats, I am using inbox -> edit. editing is enabled in the options on connect and in the settings in the feature layer. I have query allowUpdates=true in the bind::esri:parameters cell for the start of the repeat.
