My organization has several public surveys and management is asking if it's possible to know the number of submissions from QR Code and the number of submissions from the URL.

Is there a way to track this? Either a S123 connect parameter or analytics add-in?

Survey123 Custom URL scheme.

  1. Add a field to your survey with hidden appearance. This will store your QR code location
  2. Create a custom URL that opens the survey and passes the QR code location into the hidden field. You can start with the existing URL you are using and then add &field:QRCodeID=Park1, where QRCodeID is the name of your field and Park1 is the location you want to track
  3. Create a QR code for each location with the value. You'll need to use a third-party site for this.

You could do the same thing for other URL locations e.g. website or email, by changing the value being inserted from the link being launched.

After the fact? I don't think so.

You could add a trigger to the QR code though to fill in a hidden field, then preform analytics off that.
