Many of my organization's applications are accessed via web browser (rather than through an app on a mobile device or installing software on a computer) because they are accessed by members of the public. It is a limitation for us that surveys accessed through a web browser do not support nested repeats.

In a specific example, we ask the public to report resource consumption annually. They visit an Experience Builder which contains multiple surveys. At the end of their experience, they are prompted to review their info. Ideally, we want to present this information within a survey, so that when they are satisfied and click Submit, a report is generated. It is a limitation that we cannot work with nested repeats within the web app as this schema best represents the data.

Please consider supporting nested repeats in online surveys (created through Connect and accessed via web browser)! Many thanks.

@SarahFrost They are supported for creating records. So you are filling out multiple Surveys and then pulling in data from those to have them review and submit in a separate survey?  Anyway to combine them all in one so they don't have to do multiple and you can employ nested repeats.

@Neal_t_k Yes, users fill out a series of surveys each pointing to various tables within a feature service. At the end we want users to review their overall submission, in a format that looks familiar to paper forms we are moving away from.

We employ multiple surveys to avoid complexity for the users, due to the complexity of the reporting and database itself. Additionally, part of the 'complexity' is simply the interface of repeats within Survey123; for many of our users, it's not intuitive and/or due to the quantity of information submitting, it offers a clunky experience.

Thank you for the idea! I know without details, one large survey is a logical solution. In our case, it is not an option for our users and the overall experience could be improved with the ability to view nested repeats in a web survey form.

Cheers!

@Neal_t_k are there also plans to support editing nested repeats via the Survey widget in an Experience Builder? My clients want to be able to edit a nested repeat survey in an Experience Builder.

I made a form which is used to create messages about fairway incidents. A message exists of multiple parts, and each part can be repeated. Within each part, one or more timeblocks should be created. I would like to make these timeblocks a nested repeat, which is possible. However, my users need to be able to make changes as dates might change, but this feature is currently not supported in the web editor. It is not possible to use the field apps as they want to do all the work in an Experience. As a workaround, I made a question how many timeblocks they want to create, with a maximum of 10. the timeblocks questions appear then based on visibility rules of previous question, but my data does not look nice with so many empty fields.
