I am working on recreating a paper survey to digital in Survey123 and I find that adding a matrix question type as shown in below image would be really helpful. I understand that it's just of set of singleline text stacked together, but without it the survey would become ridiculously long.
If you group the questions together, you can use the table-list appearance option to create something like the following:
And here's the XLS form:
type | name | label | appearance |
begin group | gridded | A table-list group. Rate how much you like the following items. | table-list |
select_one rating | r1 | oranges
select_one rating | r2 | apples
select_one rating | r3 | bananas
select_one rating | r4 | pears
select_one rating | r5 | grapes
select_one rating | r6 | peaches
select_one rating | r7 | plums
end group |
Thank you for this example! I found a tutorial video online explaining how the grid works with formatting options. I hope one day this will be available to the web version.
