Hello,
I added some videos in my map tour, which play fine while the project is in edit mode. When I publish the StoryMap, the videos still play when I view the StoryMap on a mobile device. On a desktop, a zoom icon appears when I hover over the video and I cannot interact with it. How can I reconfigure this so the video's play button works or the video plays automatically?
Thanks in advance,
Katie

This was a bug that was introduced in a recent release, but it has since been fixed. All stories that were affected should be working as expected again. Please let us know if you are still experiencing this issue.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
What is your screen resolution dimensions do you find it works on a small desktop screen such as a laptop rather than a monitor?
How do you add the link into the storymap?
Have you tried a blank storymap outside of this project?
It does not work on any screen larger than a phone.
I added the regular YouTube link without any embed code.
I have not tried a blank storymap but I know of another storymap that my colleague made that has the same problem.
Hi @KatieJones Is your Storymap embbed into a website? If so you will need to alter the iframe dimensions.
@DanielFox1 No, it's stand alone. You can see it here, the problematic map tour is in the "Visualizing Pollution" section.
Hi Katie,
I’m experiencing the same issue with videos in a map tour. Were you able to resolve this? My video is hosted on Vimeo. I created a StoryMap to test the video link, which you can view here: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/b61f80b86ccd42e6a936a75301af616c.
The video link, https://vimeo.com/1011335571?share=copy#t=0, works fine in both the StoryMap body and the sidecar on both laptop and mobile devices. However, in the map tour, it only plays correctly on mobile device resolutions.
I also tried different Vimeo video links with the same results which are below.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Cathy
