StoryMap Embed not retaining URL parameters

Hi, has there been a change to the Embed option in StoryMaps at the October or November update releases?

I've previously embedded a number of Dashboards within a series of StoryMaps (each StoryMap focusses on a different geographic region) with each embedded Dashboard having URL parameters. This had worked really well, saving me from making multiple copies of a Dashboard (for each region) and instead using the URL parameters to filter the layers in my Dashboards.

However, when I try and embed a Dashboard with URL parameters now it is instead embedded into my StoryMap with the URL parameters removed. Even if I copy the URL of a previously embedded Dashboard via the settings in the StoryMap (which displays the URL parameters and filters as expected), and embed this again, the URL parameters are removed from the URL.

The format of my URL parameters are:

DashboardURL#region=Name%20Name

Thanks in advance for help / guidance to resolve this!

@GregoryHanton - I'm sorry that you are seeing issues with embedded dashboards. No recent changes in this behavior are expected. Are your StoryMap and dashboards shared with everyone? If you can you provide links we can try to look into this for you.

If they are not publicly available, please contact Esri Support and they can help you troubleshoot.

Hey @OwenGeo , thanks for getting back to me.

Examples of where I've embedded dashboards with URL parameters applied and working can be seen here at the Hunter SRITP StoryMap; see the Cultural diversity section for an example.

I've setup a demo StoryMap with just the dashboard from the cultural diversity section embedded, copying the embed content reference / URL from the embed options in the Hunter SRITP StoryMap.

In this example the URL parameter isn't working and hasn't been retained on the embed content reference, however when viewing the JSON via ArcGIS Online Assistant for the demo StoryMap I can see the URL parameter on the embed URL - see attached image.

The URL parameter should filter the dashboard content to display values only for jurisdictions within the 'Hunter' region.

Thanks in advance again, sing out if you need more information.

@GregoryHanton Thank you for providing additional information. We believe we have found the issue and are working on a fix. I expect that we should be able to address this in our next release in early December.
