@HimanshuMistry - We are looking into this one, but it would be very helpful if you could please share some detail about the types of charts you'd like to create. How would you expect to add the text and numeric information for the charts in the story builder? Do you have some screenshots of examples of charts you'd like to include? Especially stories where you included a chart from another source that you'd prefer to make in the story builder? Where in the story would you like to add a chart? Are you expecting the charts to be interactive or static?

A researcher I work with has also requested this functionality, so I am adding their need here, which may give some additional details.

They would like the ability to embed charts/graphs that are created using a Web Map, similar to the embedding Web App or Map function. This was an issue where they wanted to incorporate charts and graphs showing store purchases that had been created in the Web Map.  They ended up using a screenshot from the Web Map and uploaded those as an image to the StoryMap.

The screenshots don't look awful, but the font sizes in some of the graphs are small, and are harder to make out in a screenshot image rather than an embedded graph/chart.

It would be super useful to access the charts and diagrams created in the webmap(s)

The ability to create simple bar, column, line, and donut charts was recently added to ArcGIS StoryMaps. For more info, see What's new in ArcGIS StoryMaps (December 2024).

We are also looking at bringing charts created in the ArcGIS map viewer into ArcGIS StoryMaps in a future release, but we do not have a timeline for that at this time.
