Here are a few ArcGIS StoryMaps enhancements to check out from the past month.
- Media actions – Easily switch from one media to another with a simple button click. Interchangeable media options in a sidecar slide include maps, images, videos, and embeds. See it in action in the Quizzed from above story!
- New cover styles – Even though it’s said to not “judge a book by its cover”, you can still capture your readers' attention with a snazzy, new cover style for your story. Move the text anywhere you like, resize it, and change the text background style in the full cover design. You can also choose to add your logo to the header, the cover, or both!
- Briefings enhancements – Print your briefings or save them as a PDF which is helpful for archiving. Copy a link to a slide to share specific parts of the briefing easily. You can now edit the slide title in the Table of Contents, swap content in a side-by-side slide, and change the text size on your slides.
- More pop-up options – Choose between two pop-up styles, anchored or docked to the side, to best show additional information on the map. With express maps, you can better fit or fill the image in the pop-up, add attribution, and include alternative text. Readers can now click to expand the express map pop-up image for better viewing.
- Additional media formats – Directly upload additional video and audio formats such as MOV and WAV. Long gone are the days of manual media conversion!
