Perhaps we have worked on modeling surfaces as I have, most always on ground, perhaps a ceiling .. however how about a vertical surface such as a wall, or in my case, a cave wall?when displaying a xyz of 3D scan output of a cave wall .. the points display, from top down. Any suggestions on how one can display XYZ points so as they fall horizontal to permit surface modeling?

So what you are saying is that your Z values should be either X or Y or a calculated value using them, depending upon the orientation?

Awesome, thanks Dan! .. I figure I could change the XYZ assignment from the table (contains millions of records). I was checking if there was some other option before I started that route. The image shows some of the modeling on the ceiling and as with the walls, they too have an undulating surface that creates some challenges
