I was trying to calculate Euclidean distance for a point feature layer. If I leave the "input raster or feature barrier data" to be blank, the Euclidean distance tool works just fine. But the extent of the result was just about the extent of the point feature. For my purpose, I need to have the Euclidean distance calculated for an area broader than the default extent. However, once I put in a raster file to define the barrier, the result of the Euclidean distance would only contain a single value and nothing shows up on the map.

Thanks for the reply. I solved this situation by adjusting the extent in the environment to my desired extent.
What were the extent values? and were the data in the same coordinate system (and it was a projected coordinate system I am assuming)
