The GIS Request Management Solution has only been available for six months, but we have seen and heard from our users that this solution really filled a large need in the GIS community.  There has been rapid adoption, and a lot of interest. 

Folks are asking a lot of similar questions, and they want to know who is already using this solution, and they want to see examples.  To answer that call we have teamed up with some amazing users who have taken the plunge; they deployed the solution and have already experienced benefits from doing so.

Our Webinars will include the following speakers:

  • Corey Unger, Spatial Technology Manager, Utah DOT
    • As the Spatial Technologies Manager for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), Corey Unger, with his team of GIS professionals, work to support GIS implementation, innovation, and policy for the entire department. He has a Masters in Geography and has been working in GIS for over 19 years, with 11 years at UDOT.
  • Cierra Scriven, GIS Section Lead, Capital Projects Department, City of West Sacramento, CA
    • Cierra is an innovative GIS professional with a passion for leveraging geospatial technology to drive efficiency, collaboration, and strategic decision-making. As the GIS Section Lead for the Capital Projects Department of the City of West Sacramento, she leads process improvements, enhances GIS service delivery, and fosters cross-departmental partnerships to ensure geospatial solutions align with organizational goals. With a strong background in GIS operations and data-driven decision-making, Cierra is dedicated to increasing GIS adoption, demonstrating business value, and integrating cutting-edge solutions to support enterprise success.
  • Grant Garstka, GIS Supervisor, Community Planning and Development, City and County of Denver, CO
    • Grant works for the City and County of Denver as a GIS Supervisor for the city’s Community Planning and Development (CPD) department. He has been with Denver for 11 years. For his first 5 years, he worked on Denver’s Technology Services GIS team as a Sr. GIS Analyst.  He has spent the last 6 years with CPD helping to support the department’s GIS data and promote new technologies to create web maps and apps that better serve the department and the public. 
  • Greg Jameson, GIS Analyst & Enterprise Architect, City of Grimes, IA
    • Greg Jameson is GIS Analyst & Enterprise Architect for Grimes, IA where he is visioning a cutting edge system of record for the city using ESRI technologies. He recently spoke at ESRI Managers Summit and 2024 SAG winner.
  • Michael Green, GIS Manager, City of Thornton, CO
    • A GIS professional with over 15 years of experience spanning multiple disciplines, including Planning, Infrastructure, and Public Safety. Currently serving as the GIS Manager for the City of Thornton, where we are dedicated to advancing GIS initiatives and driving innovation to enhance services and accessibility for all.
  • Kym Kelley, Software Engineer and Debbie Sullivan, Software Engineer, State of Delaware DTI
    • Kym Kelley is a Software Engineer with the Location Intelligence team at Delaware Department of Technology and Information (DTI) supporting GIS efforts for the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC). She is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) with over 20 years of experience. Kym holds a Masters of Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University. She is a recipient of the Delaware GIS in Education Award, co-chair of the Delaware GIS Day Committee, and a Geo-mentor for local schools and organizations.
    • Deborah Sullivan is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP).  She has over 25 years of GIS experience as a State of Delaware employee.  Deborah worked much of her career at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) and is currently at the Department of Technology and Information (DTI) as a Software Engineer. Deborah’s accomplishments include receiving the 2022 Delmarva Geographic Community Service award,  a member of the Delmarva GIS Conference Committee, and being a Geo-mentor for local schools and organizations.

 

These folks support a variety of customers, in both large and small organizations.  From a one-person GIS operation to teams supporting multiple GIS teams across an entire state.  Serving populations of 16,000 to 3.5 million.  They have all implemented the solution on their own, enhanced or customized the solution to meet their organizational needs, on boarded and trained their customers to use the system, and have received very positive and encouraging feedback from leadership in their respective organizations.
