Iowa currently uses Roads and Highways to be the system of record for bridge inventory so that we can locate bridges and overpass/underpass records on our LRS network. We also use a product from Bentley called Inspecttech to house all of the bridge inspection process. A API process is setup to insert/update/delete bridges into Inspecttech when bridge records change on the R&H side of things.
Now that FHWA is moving forward with a new bridge data manual (SNBI) the data model for bridges has changed and we are having issues with this implementation. SNBI requires bridges to have 'underrecords' for more than just highways and now includes waterways, pedestrian, rail, ect.
Are any other States in a similar boat of trying to use R&H and Inspecttech together?
