Hi all,
I am trying to create a single polyline on our LRS where the start point is on one Track (one route ID) and the end point is on another track (a different route ID). This is common when we are taking a track out of service and use bounds from one signal to another that might have traveled over a turnout.
My thought was to say that IF RouteFROM is NOT EQUAL to RouteTO, THEN plot StartPoint, THEN plot EndPoint....From here connect the two points using the path of least resistance and snap to closest track centerlines. This might not always work when the turnouts are on the middle express tracks...

Have you modelled LRS with Line Network ? This type of network supports events that span routes on the same line as below.
