Reposting this because I'm not sure how active the User Forum is for the Early Adopter Program.
I'm looking at Reality Server for potential future builds and testing in our development environment and had a couple of questions:
- Does Reality Server benefit from GPU acceleration? I noticed that the server requirements suggest 24 cores and 64GB of RAM but it doesn't mention GPU support.
- Will future licensing for Reality Server going to be CPU bound (eg 4 cores and unlocking additional cores will require purchasing more licenses)?

Hi James, I just got back to you on the Reality Server Early Adopter Program.
To close this thread, I'll copy my response here for others:
- Yes, Reality Server does benefit from GPU acceleration, but it's not a requirement to use a GPU enabled machine yet. It will become a requirement if you want to generate Gaussian splats, which we plan to make available in the next few months.
- Reality Server will be licensed per server machine, allowing up to 64 cores per machine.

Hi Nico, thanks for getting back to me; it's always a bit of an unknown posting in an empty forum.
That's good to know. I'll discuss this with the team and see if it is something we'd like to investigate.
