App creation instructions (documentation in all areas) on ESRI's part, has fallen off drastically in the last few years.

Example:

After looking for simple instructions on how to create a feature that collects custom photos and going down a lot of search rabbit holes, I am able to get partial answers regarding how to complete the workflow. Finally asking my colleagues if I have followed the correct process.

My point with this Question is: Why does ESRI fail to create clear and concise instructions on how to use their products? Products are presented as 'easy to use' but the instructions given are not always easy to decipher, especially for someone working in an Enterprise environment.

I blame their adoption of Calcite which touts "clean" and "modern" design and manifests itself as less detail. Older curmudgeons like myself pine for the days of Arcmap 8.x/9.x which had copious amounts of documentation and examples.
