I am using the Converting from orthometric to ellipsoidal heights workflow in ArcGIS Pro 3.2 to convert a DEM provided relative to the WGS84 ellipsoid into geoidal heights. Therefore I am using the equation as follows:
H = h - N
, where
- h = ellipsoidal height (current DEM)
- H = orthometric (geoid) height (target DEM)
- N = geoidal separation
The workflow specifies to use the file \Pro\Resources\pedata\geoid\WGS84.img as N.
My question is: what geoid model is used in this file? I read a post from 2017 that mentionned EGM96. Has it been updated to EGM2008 in newer ArcGIS Pro versions?
