Weighted Sum/Overlay vs. Suitability Modeler?

Hello,

I am interested in viewing areas within a specific corridor that would be most suitable to build a transmission line, in regards to biological/recreational/jurisdictional factors.

I'm a little unclear on whether the suitability modeler would be appropriate for this, or if there would be a better way (weighted sum/overlay?) to determine where the line would be best built within a buffered, linear corridor.

Thanks for any info you can provide!

For a simple use case `weighted sum/overlay` is better

Suitability Modeler is more detailed and provides more options such as transformation functions.

So it depends on what works best for you.
