Using voxel layer to create geologic cross-section

I have been following this youtube video to guide me in creating a geologic cross-section: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMq0eAhGuIY

The problem I am experiencing is that my geologic units do not connect. Where there should only be one unit, there are several layers of that unit that interfere with others. I entered two points for each unit per borehole, one marking the top of the unit and one marking the bottom of the unit. Contacts are represented with two points: one representing the overlying unit and the other representing the lower unit, about a foot apart. I am considering only using one point to represent a given unit for each borehole and placing filler points between the boreholes to help interpolate the data and hopefully give Arc Pro a better chance at connecting the units.

Here is a screenshot that shows how the model is generated based on the borehole data. The blue layer is not represented at all, while the purple unit appears several times throughout the column.

Theoretically, will this work? Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks
