ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1; Mobile Geodatabase
The SQL reference for query expressions used in ArcGIS docs say:
Within ArcGIS Pro, the SQL expression dialog box can be found in the following locations:
...Use the Calculate Field geoprocessing tool to create an expression to perform simple or complex calculations on field values.
I want to use a .exp file as an expression in the Calculate Field tool to filter the rows that the field calculation will be applied to.
However, I don't see an option/button in the tool for loading a .exp query expression file. I only see an option to load a field calculation .cal file.
- Are SQL expressions as filters not supported in the Calculate Field GP tool?
- Are the docs trying to suggest that the .cal calculator script is a SQL expression, when SQL is chosen in the Expression Type parameter picklist?
- Why do the docs mention the "SQL expression dialog box"? I don't see SQL expression dialog box functionality anywhere in the tool.
