I am trying to install ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or 2.9 on my Dell Desktop Optiplex 380 but after verifying my computer's ability to run, I came across a few issues meeting the minimum requirements. I understand I need to buy a new video card to increase my dedicated VRAM to 512MB from my current 256MB. My video card is ATI Radeon HD 3450 and think my GPU is RV620. I also don't have OPENGL ARB_CLIP_CONTROL EXTENSION which is needed. I read that you can just download/install this necessary extensions. How would you get that?
Thanks for any insight!
update* got .NET Desktop runtime installed. Download .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime (v6.0.5) - Windows x64 Installer (microsoft.com)
How old is that desktop?
2006-07 I believe. Using Windows 10 and has been working effortlessly since I've had it. But this is the first 'big' software I 've tried to download.
I would compare pricing for a new desktop vs upgrade, especially if you intend to upgrade to windows 11 or beyond since older machines may be limited in that regard and unable to upgrade to it.
