unable to add routes

I accidentally deleted my Network Analyst routes from my TOC and now have to re-add them.  I found them in Catalog and added them that way but now when I click on Stops or Routes in the 'group' I added I don't get the Network Analyst menu and Route tab at the top.

Has anyone else encountered and how did you solve it?
