I have taken photos of a salt flat and am looking to create an orthomosaic. After following some tutorials on youtube and quite a while of processing time (over 270 HD images), I am getting a very rough orthomosaic. What are some things I could try doing?

First off, may I ask a question? was the image collection done under some sort of flight controller software like esri's offerings https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-reality/platform/drone-mapping ? The bounding boxes appear to have variable overlap that could through things off. The mission planning and flight execution modules are pretty good.

Unfortunately ArcGIS Pro does not have the modules for generating orthophotos. That is their Drone2Map product https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-drone2map/overview

If you don't have access to a D2M license you could try some open source products that can be easily searched for.

Cheers!

Tom
